3rd Annual Open Air Dunlop Butter Tart Festival

Location: Downtown Barrie along Dunlop Street & Meridian Place

When: Saturday, July 11 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Kim Mitchell show following at 7:30 PM

Downtown Barrie is about to become Ontario’s sweetest destination as the 3rd Annual Open Air Dunlop Butter Tart Festival takes over Dunlop Street and Meridian Place. More than 100 vendors will line the streets, including artisan bakers, makers, specialty food producers, and local retailers, with 20 of Ontario’s top butter tart creators serving everything from classic family recipes to creative new flavour combinations. Between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., a panel of community judges will crown the 2026 Butter Tart Champions. Once you’ve satisfied your sweet tooth, stick around for a free evening concert as Canadian rock legend Kim Mitchell takes the stage. More info here.

Collingwood Pride

Location: Various venues; Main festival grounds along Simcoe Street in Historic Downtown Collingwood

When: Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12, starting with the Flag Raising Ceremony on July 10 at 4:00 PM

Celebrate love, diversity, and community at Collingwood Pride, a vibrant weekend filled with entertainment for all ages. The free festival grounds feature a licensed beverage garden, food vendors, a vendor marketplace, and a Family Zone, while venues throughout town host drag performances, live music, variety shows, circus acts, artist showcases, and more. Saturday’s highlight is the Pride Parade, taking place from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m., winding through downtown before the celebrations continue with an evening of performances and dancing. Wrap up the weekend on Sunday with the family-friendly “Roll with Pride” roller skate social from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hurontario Street Parkette. Cars & Jazz at Friday Harbour Resort

Location: The Promenade at Friday Harbour Resort, Innisfil

When: Saturday, July 11 from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Car enthusiasts won’t want to miss Cars & Jazz! Presented in collaboration with Saturns Drives and Ace Spade Rally, this annual event brings together an impressive collection of supercars, exotic vehicles, and high-end sports cars, all set against the lively backdrop of electro-jazz and live DJ entertainment. Browse local vendors, challenge friends in the games room, enjoy the beautiful waterfront setting, or grab lunch from one of the Promenade’s restaurants. Orillia’s 4th Annual Community Festival

Location: Couchiching Beach Park, Canice Street, Orillia

When: Saturday, July 11 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Head to Couchiching Beach Park for the 4th Annual Community Festival, hosted by the Orillia Area Black Community Association. Celebrating diversity, inclusion, and community spirit, this free festival features a full day of food, vendors, live music by DJ Maxx, art, culture, networking opportunities, and family-friendly entertainment. Kids can enjoy bouncy castles, face painting, games, treats, music, and surprises throughout the afternoon, making it a fantastic event for visitors of all ages. More info here.

7th Annual Collingwood Music Festival

Location: Various venues across Collingwood and Creemore

When: Monday, July 6 to Saturday, July 18

The 7th Annual Collingwood Music Festival continues this weekend with an exceptional lineup of performances showcasing internationally acclaimed artists alongside emerging Canadian talent. Bringing more than 240 musicians to South Georgian Bay, the festival features everything from orchestral performances and chamber music to gospel, world music, Indigenous artists, and musical theatre. This weekend’s highlights include Symphony Under the Stars, performances by the Lithuanian Boys’ Choir as part of the Rising Star Series, and the Elmer Iseler Singers presenting Carmina Burana. Performances take place at venues including First Presbyterian Church, the Shipyards Amphitheatre, and Creemore Village Green, with a mix of ticketed concerts and pay-what-you-can outdoor performances.
