We first met Portia Hammer in April 2019 when we were interested in a house that we just happened to come across. We didn’t end up getting the place, however she was wonderful to deal with. We used to have an agent that we used in Toronto, but figured it was time to change given we are now in the Simcoe area. We started looking again in Dec 2019 and decided that we were happy with Portia that one time and called her up. She is incredible to work with. She is pleasant, optimistic (not overly as she is real with you), knowledgeable and highly responsive. She really helped us along this sometimes painful yet happy journey. After a very short 2 months, we ended up closing on a property and are really happy with our end result. We SOLD fast!!! The Peggy Hill team made our selling experience quick and easy. From the first meeting to finalizing the sale, they were there to guide us through the process. We loved having the stager come through our house and provide us with feedback prior to the photographer coming to the house. I would like to offer a review of our recent real estate experience. Over the past year my husband and I have toyed with the idea of listing our house due to health issues and stairs being a challenge. Not an easy decision for me especially—gardens, wonderful neighbours, close proximity to our daily exercise program and the church where I volunteer a lot of my time. However, taking time to think about it, we decided to speak to Darren Johnson. We had many questions and some concerns all of which he handled in a very calm although professional manner. We did not feel “pushed” nor “rushed” and he even offered the services of the Peggy Hill Team Stager to come and give some pointers which she did. Even though we knew, without second thoughts, we had made the right decision in choosing Darren as our agent, we came to the conclusion that we just weren’t ready yet to make a move. That time will come when circumstances allow us to begin the process and when we do, Darren has assured us that he will do all he can to make the transition easy and comfortable for us. That we know for sure.
