Course: par 72 with a slope of 149 and measuring 6,982 yards

Location: Southwest Barrie, outside Holly

Tangle Creek features all bent grass greens, windswept fairways defined by strategically placed bunkering, mounding, grassy hollows and fescue. The course then transitions to a more traditional North American style with heavily forested holes, ponds and environmentally protected areas. The course is suitable for all skill levels and our yardage ranges from 4,200 to 6,982 yards.

Innisbrook Golf Course

Course: nine par 3s, eight par 4s, and a single par 5, for a total par of 64 over 4,521 yards.

Barrie Country Club

Course: par-72 course measures 7,004 yards from the black tees

Location: North Barrie, close to Midhurst

Address: 635 St. Vincent Street N, Barrie, ON

Although this club is over 100 years old, the facilities are brand new. With the building going in 2017 and a new state of the art facility being built in 2021 named the Trillium Golf Lounge. This lounge features new golf simulators for use in the winter months. This is one of the longest courses you will play in the Barrie area at just over 7000 yards. Golfers can also practice without leaving the grounds. You can choose to practice your short game on the short course or practice your drives at the driving range. 

The Barrie Country Club is a highly coveted golf club and requires membership to access the course and facilities. Membership includes access to a fitness centre with personal training programs, patio and upstairs dining at the clubhouse, tee times up to five days in advance, and invitations to an active social and golfing events calendar.

Heritage Hills Golf Club

Course: Par 72 course of 6808 yards from the Black tees with a slope of 130

Location: Near Horseshoe Valley Resort in Oro-Medonte

Although Heritage Hills Golf Club is a membership based club, they also offer green fees available to the public. Ranging from 6808 at the black tees to 5391 at the gold, there is something for everyone here. By utilizing the unique landscape with a dissecting ravine, holes 7 & 8 provide some elevation challenges. Then when you make it to the 17th you are met by a 25 foot drop into a creek. 

The surrounding area of Oro-Medonte features the Copeland and Simcoe County forests. These play host to magnificent walking and biking trails for visitors to enjoy if you still have some energy after a round of golf. Location: South Barrie, next to Innisbrook Golf Course, near the neighbourhood of Painswick

At the National Pines Golf Club, the course changes as you play. In the beginning, you’ll find wide, grassy areas. But later on, you’ll navigate through dense pine trees. When you start each hole, you’ll need to decide how to hit the ball from the tee. You can try a challenging shot that might give you a big reward, but it’s risky because you might have to carry the ball over water or other obstacles. Or you can play it safer. As you go, you’ll need to plan each shot carefully to get the ball close to the flag on the hilly greens.

The Landings of Willow Creek is a 9-hole golf course near Barrie, in Crown Hill. It’s a short but challenging course with 14 bunkers and four water hazards. While they do accept walk-ins if there’s space, it’s best to call ahead to book a tee time.

They also have a great driving range, one of the best in Barrie, with 22 spots for practicing shots up to 250 yards. Memberships offer unlimited use of golf carts, access to the driving range, and a private lounge in the clubhouse.
