Charities

At Peggy Hill, our journey has been enriched by valuable collaborations with extraordinary charitable organizations throughout the years. We take immense pride in our partnerships with these impactful groups, each dedicated to making a significant difference within the Simcoe County Area.

Our commitment to community engagement and social responsibility drives us to align with organizations that embody our values. By joining forces with Barrie charities, we amplify our collective impact, working together to bring positive change and meaningful contributions to the communities we serve. As a pillar of support for the Simcoe County Area, Peggy Hill remains dedicated to nurturing these partnerships and continuing our legacy of making a difference that truly matters.

Christmas Cheer

Christmas Cheer supports people who need help at Christmas. It’s for people who work and don’t make enough money to cover the extras at Christmas. It’s for people receiving financial assistance or no assistance at all. Christmas Cheer helps grandparents raising grandkids, and young parents of small children. It’s there for single parents, married parents, families and single people too. Christmas Cheer serves the residents of Barrie, Innisfil, Essa and Oro Townships.

Gilda’s Club Simcoe/Muskoka

The Gilda’s Club network is named in honor of comic and actress Gilda Radner, who died of ovarian cancer in 1989. Their purpose is to provide a source of emotional and social support for anyone feeling the impact of cancer, including patients and their loved ones. The Simcoe Muskoka chapter was founded in 2003, and they’ve done great work in providing support to all those suffering the effects of cancer. Gilda’s Club receives no government funding, and so the funding for all the programs and classes they offer comes from the generosity of the community.

Barrie Food Bank

It is the mission of the Barrie Food Bank to provide temporary food relief to individuals and families of our community who are in need, and to serve as a resource to guide them along the road to self sufficiency. The food bank started in 1984 as an amalgamation of church-based services seeking a more centralized model to combine their efforts to serve the needy in the community. The Peggy Hill Team have been glad to participate in food drives to benefit the Food Bank, and we’ve been happy to see those in the community who’ve dropped by to make donations.

Hospice Simcoe

Hospice Simcoe exists to improve quality of life for those who are dying and their loved ones. They provide resources for those suffering from a life-limiting illness, from visiting or residential treatment and palliative care to grief and bereavement counseling. The Peggy Hill Team have been honoured to support their annual gala and silent auction.

Autism Ontario Simcoe County

Autism Ontario’s mission is to promote acceptance and opportunities for all individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and to ensure that each individual with an Autism Spectrum Disorder is provided the means to achieve quality of life as a respected member of society. The Peggy Hill Team are proud to sponsor the Simcoe County chapter’s Evening for Autism Gala as well as their annual Charity Golf Classic.
